8 hours and 20 minutes on battery while streaming a YouTube video? Yes please. The Acer Swift 3 shows off its excellent battery

Local tech and news website MyBroadband recently reported that the Acer Swift 3 notebook has a truly “impressive battery life”.

The tech gurus at MyBroadband put the Swift 3 through its paces, seeing for themselves how it lasted 8 hours and 20 minutes on a single charge while playing a Full HD, full-screen YouTube video.

More impressively, the author wrote that this was at the Swift 3’s default settings and without activating any of Windows 10’s battery-saving features “to simulate real-world use”. That means that with less intensive use, and with battery-saving features active, the Acer Swift 3 could feasibly last even longer.

“These results are consistent with international reviews, which commend the Swift 3’s battery life when compared to similar models and brands within the same price range”, wrote MyBroadband’s Staff Writer.

They also reported that the notebook’s fast-charge feature is really useful, as it is able to supply four hours of battery from just a 30-minute charge. A nice touch is that its power brick is “small and light” and can thus be carried around quite easily.

Battery life in notebooks is more important than ever, with loadshedding an ever-present possibility, and having a notebook that can last a full day at work or varsity is incredibly useful.

The notebook itself doesn’t weigh much at all and it’s very thin: Acer states on its website that the Swift 3 “…is able to weigh as little as 1.19kg and be as thin as 15.95mm”.

Stock is on the way, and the Acer Swift 3 notebook will be available to resellers from Tarsus Distribution as soon as we can manage after the national lockdown is lifted.

To place an order in the meantime, or to find out more about it, resellers can contact their account managers for more information.
