Tarsus Distribution won the Consumer and Retail Distributor of the Year Award at the recent Microsoft Partner Awards.
Criteria for consideration for the award include close alignment and proactive engagement with Microsoft, as well as year-on-year growth, financial year 2019 performance vs. targets, and the percentage of Office-to-hardware attachment.
Congratulating Tarsus, Microsoft’s Roy Chalhoub (Device & Sales Lead for MEA) said “During the past fiscal, your team together with management have shown a vested consistent “growth mindset” approach and rallied collectively to perform in a tough environment.
He added “[Tarsus Distribution]’s uncompromising attitude to innovation is an exemplary effort.”
The award came about as a direct result of Tarsus Distribution’s commitment to Microsoft products as shown through renewed marketing campaigns and ESD breadth growth initiatives, which resulted in 13% year-on-year growth of the segment.
Proactive executive involvement also played a part. Shalhoub added that it was the …”key to maintaining share in a competitive environment”.
When asked how the team feels about the award, Tarsus Distribution’s Justine Louw (General Manager: Dell & Microsoft) said “We are thrilled! The team has really focused on making Microsoft the foundation of our business, and the recognition means the world to us.”
On the same evening, Tarsus On Demand won the Indirect CSP of the Year award for their work with Microsoft.
