Jay McBain, the Principal Analyst for Global Channels at research firm Forrester, has posted a fascinating article on LinkedIn that examines his predictions for 2018, and follows those up with trends to watch for 2019.
It’s a very good read for all channel participants, and while it does deal with international channel concerns, much of what McBain talks about is applicable in South Africa, too.
The 2019 trends he highlights are particularly interesting. He covers what he thinks will happen with emerging technologies, the increasing rise of marketplaces, how ‘ecosystems’ will replace traditional channel programmes, and more.
This is a vital read for anyone with a stake in the channel to take in over a cup of coffee.
