Kaspersky Lab’s partner-focused efforts in 2019 earned the company a major win: in November last year, Kaspersky Lab was recognised by renowned independent analyst firm Canalys as being the top cybersecurity vendor when it comes to channel satisfaction.
Kaspersky won the award by coming first in the Canalys Worldwide Vendor Benchmark, scoring an overall rating of 75.8% in a competitive field made up of another 10 cybersecurity vendors. The channel uses the benchmark to see which vendors provide the best service in various sectors and winning thus has major implications for any company’s growth prospects.
Among the metrics that won over Canalys were Kaspersky’s year-on-year overall performance improvement (+7.7%), and the fact that Kaspersky scored highly for product availability and supply (83.7%), and the ease with which partners could do business with them (78.4%).
Expand & Improve
In 2019, Kaspersky focused heavily on expanding and improving its global partner programme, with the aim of attracting new partners and boosting the rewards of participating for those already signed up.
One of the new 2019 partner programmes Kaspersky launched in 2019 was “Kaspersky United”; it was laser-focused on helping partners leverage their specialisations and earn more rewards, while also gaining access to even more expertise, training, marketing tools, and education through Kaspersky Lab.
Says the official release about the programme, “[Kaspersky United] enables Kaspersky Lab partners — including resellers, service providers, and system integrators — to focus on selling the Kaspersky Lab services and products that match their own specialisations. They will also receive access to education, sales and marketing toolkits and benefit from a new transparent monetary rewards scheme.”
Making the right moves
Of the award, Chief Business Office at Kaspersky Alexander Moiseev said “Receiving this great recognition as the top cybersecurity vendor for channel satisfaction by Canalys shows we have made the right decision in investing and improving our partner programme.
“We not only want to meet our partners’ needs, but also further improve user experience and offer incentives for them to work with us. This ensures they receive quality service and feel confident in us as a cybersecurity vendor,” Moiseev concludes.
